Hello everyone, it is so wonderful to be here with you today. As your current representative, I am stepping up once again to run for re-election because my heart is entirely in Bessemer. We have a beautiful community, but I know we can make it even stronger. My focus is simple and clear: I want to build a better Bessemer for every single one of us. That means working hard to bring more economic development to our local economy, ensuring our streets and neighborhoods are safer for our families, and investing in our schools so our children have the bright future they deserve. I am running to continue this vital work, and with your support, we can build the thriving, safe, and prosperous Bessemer we all believe in.
I believe our community's future depends on how we build our local economy, and that is why economic development is so important to me. If elected, I am committed to creating new business opportunities that open doors for everyone here. At the same time, we must focus on supporting our existing businesses -- the very backbone of our community -- and helping them thrive so they can promote real career growth for our residents. By lifting up both new and established businesses, we can create lasting opportunities right here at home. Together, we can build a stronger economy and change the narrative of our city for the better.
I believe that a truly strong community starts with feeling safe in our own neighborhoods. That is why one of my highest priorities is strengthening partnerships across our city. We need to focus on improving neighborhood safety by implementing real, community-focused solutions that come directly from the people who live here. By working together, we can build trust, support one another, and create lasting change. This is how we change the narrative of our city -- not by letting others define us, but by showing what we can achieve when we stand united.
Our children are the future of Bessemer, and they deserve nothing less than a quality education that prepares them for success. I am committed to advocating for greater opportunities for every child in our city, because when we invest in our schools, we invest in the future of our entire community.
